This boat was rebuilt at professional boat yards in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, intermittently between 2013 and 2019 by legends such as Tern Boatworks and top marine electrician Dave Evans, at a cost of between $400,000 and $500,000 Canadian dollars.
She is reconstructed from the ground up. The only remaining component is the exterior teak; the decks are watertight but will soon require recaulking. The generator water pump requires repair, and none of the tank gauges are operational at present.
All through hulls were glassed over and repositioned so that all intakes are on the port side and all outlets are on the starboard side. All through hulls are made of commercial brass, and all hoses are of the highest quality and brand new.
In addition to redoing the standing rigging and shrouds and replacing the blocks, the mast was repainted and a new primary track system and secondary track for the mainsail were installed. The rigging is commercial grade, typically used for bridges, and consists of diamond-shaped stainless steel rods wrapped in a cable that is three times more expensive than premium stainless shrouds.
